We feel inspired and privileged as Co-Headteachers of Downs View Infant School to lead a dedicated team and family who all share our vision and values for the school.

We have a wealth of experience and expertise as teachers and leaders of children’s development which have been used to ensure that Downs View remains an Outstanding Infant School.

As an Infant School we provide a nurturing and positive environment for your child to begin their primary education. We firmly believe that these are the crucial years to build the foundations for the future.

We ensure that we invest time in getting to know you and your child before they start school so that they can begin their learning journey from their unique starting point.

The partnership with parents/carers is vital to support this journey.  We listen and learn from every child’s first educators – you the parent/carers.

We work very closely with Kennington Academy where children continue their education from year 3 to year 6, ensuring that there is a seamless transition between both schools. There is an application process but every child who applies and has attended Downs View is guaranteed a place.

Downs View is a place where children have a love for learning and thrive!
