Welcome to Dulverton Primary School. I hope that this website gives you an insight into life at our school and provides you with the information that you need.

Dulverton Primary School is a vibrant, happy and successful two form entry community school located in New Eltham. Although we are ‘tucked away’ in a quiet residential area, we benefit from and make the most of our spacious grounds.

Every member of our school community is valued and respected. We recognise that every child is unique and strive to ensure that their academic, creative, social, physical and moral education is nurtured. Our exciting curriculum has been designed to give our children opportunities to develop as independent, confident, resilient and aspirational learners. We have high expectations of the children and our high standards of behaviour and work reflect this. We celebrate both effort and achievement, and believe that these go hand in hand with enjoyment and mental health and wellbeing if a child is to make excellent progress.

Our aim is for our children to leave school at the end of Year 6 as ‘the very best versions of themselves’ that they can. We are working with the United Nations body UNICEF towards achieving our silver ‘Rights Respecting School’ award. This programme encourages our children to become mature and responsible adults who are outward-looking and ‘give back’ to the community. We feel that this is particularly important in these times of uncertainty and change so that they are prepared for their future and the increasing demands of today’s society.

I know how vital it is to work in partnership with parents so that children find school to be a rewarding experience. I am usually at the school gate each morning and welcome an informal conversation and any suggestions or questions that you might have. I am proud to be Head Teacher at a school with such an outstanding and dedicated team, who are caring and committed to providing the very best education for our children. I am excited to be leading Dulverton into the next phase of our development.
