Welcome to the website of Gwladys Street Community Primary and Nursery School.

I am delighted to be the Head teacher of this wonderful school where we strive to ensure that all pupils have Golden Opportunities for Achievement and Learning (GOAL).

Gwladys Street is a large, friendly, two form entry primary school with capacity for 102 pupils in our Nursery.  The school is steeped in history and generations of families/children have continued to attend since the school first opened its doors 1912.

Gwladys Street is a community school, committed to providing the highest standards of education and a wealth of support for our pupils and parents/carers.

Our school population is varied and diverse and we celebrate our differences.  Consequently, our curriculum is designed not only to cover statutory requirements but is also enriched by our extensive Personal, Social and Health Education programme. Our curriculum creates happy, curious and resilient citizens with a thirst for learning and high aspirations for the future.
