Welcome to Hallgate Primary School

On behalf of the pupils, parents/carers, staff and governors at Hallgate Primary School, I am delighted to welcome you to our website.

I am incredibly proud to be the Head Teacher at Hallgate, to lead a team that is committed to children’s wellbeing and achieving high standards in all that we do.

Hallgate is a vibrant school, where individuals are valued and supported in achieving their personal best.  We are committed to providing a safe, happy and supportive environment in which children can thrive.

The children at Hallgate are at the heart of all that we do.  We work in partnership with parents and the wider community, to ensure their success and we have relentlessly high expectations of ourselves and others.

Whilst academic learning is highly valued, we also recognise the importance of a broad and balanced education, to enable all of our children to grow in confidence and independence, develop a sense of responsibility and achieve their personal goals.  We place a strong emphasis on developing pupils as ‘Super Learners’; encouraging a positive attitude to learning which equips children with the confidence and resilience they need to be good learners.  Our six core skills are: concentrate, don’t give up, co-operate, have a go, keep improving and enjoy learning.

We believe that children should be curious about their learning and we foster a passion for learning that will help to develop high aspirations.  Our ‘Hallgate Values’ of: Friendship, Excellence, Determination, Responsibility, Honest and Respect are evident across school and in all that we do.

Please take time to browse this site and find out more about our wonderful school.  You are more than welcome, however, to come and visit to see Hallgate for yourself, to see us in action and meet staff and children.  Call the school office on 01482 846136 to arrange this.
