Sesame Street preschool

Our preschool program has the following classes:

• Playgroup: Children in this age group explore and identify objects from their immediate environment. Along with pre-literacy and pre-numeracy skills, picture reading, identifying primary colors. Discovering a concept of the self forms the base of the curriculum.
  • Age group: 2 – 3 years
  • Duration: 2.5 hour sessions, Mon – Fri
• Nursery: Children in this age group move from picture reading to identifying beginning sounds in simple words. As well as understanding pre-number and relational concepts. Children move from identifying primary to secondary colors. They are ready to explore the world around them.
  • Age group: 3 – 4 years
  • Duration: 3.5 hour session, Mon – Fri
• Prep I: Children in this age group move from a concrete to an abstract form of learning. They are highly imaginative and make and narrate their own stories. They move to the arena of friends, sharing and following rules. In language they identify ending sounds and short vowels, and start forming CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words. They understand numbers and rote counts with accuracy till 50.
  • Age group: 4 – 5 years
  • Duration: 3.5 hour session, Mon – Fri
• Prep II: Children in this age group take an enquiry-based approach to their learning and every month they find answers to a specific question. They use their knowledge of letters and sounds to explore blends, and begin to read simple sentences. They begin to understand simple number operations.

  • Duration: 3.5 hour sessions, Mon – Fri
